SALE OF GOODS
These terms detail the agreement between you (the buyer) and Vintage House 813 (the vendor) for the sale of goods.
We ask that you carefully review the terms and conditions, as well as the item photographs and description, before proceeding with your purchase. By agreeing to buy, you are acknowledging your consent to enter into a legally binding contract.
We reserve the right to accept or decline the contract at our discretion.
Upon confirmation of a purchase, the terms will be legally binding for both the buyer and the vendor.
You have the right to cancel your order in compliance with UK law.
We reserve the right to make updates or revisions as necessary, and customers will be subject to the most current terms and conditions at the time of purchase.
THE GOODS
We are dedicated to providing thorough and precise descriptions of our products to the best of our expertise and understanding – this includes any notable defects or specific features.
Our inventory consists primarily of vintage and antique items, which may exhibit signs of wear and tear due to their age and previous use. These characteristics contribute to the unique nature and appearance of each antique or vintage piece. By completing a purchase, you are acknowledging and accepting the aged and worn attributes of the items being sold.
We will make every effort to safely and securely package all goods for delivery to ensure they arrive in good condition. However, we cannot be held liable for any damage that may occur during shipping by a courier or other third party.
We are not responsible for any defects in the goods caused by wear and tear, intentional damage, accidents, or negligence by you or a third party.
Ownership of the goods will pass to the buyer on receipt of full payment of all sums due, including postage/delivery charges.
The company will no longer be liable for items once they have been dispatched by courier from our premises and the buyer assumes responsibility for all goods upon despatch.
HEALTH & SAFETY
Our products are authentic, original antique/vintage items. Please note that these items were manufactured before current health and safety regulations were established. Therefore, we cannot guarantee compliance with current health and safety standards or suitability for specific purposes.
All of our electrical items have been tested and certified as safe for use. We highly recommend that any items purchased from us be inspected, tested, and installed by a qualified electrician. It is also important to ensure that the item is used on a circuit protected by a Residual Current Device (RCD) for added safety measures.
We cannot assume responsibility for any damages, injuries, or fatalities resulting from the use of electrical equipment that has not undergone inspection, testing, certification, and installation by a licensed electrician.
DELIVERY
We will make every effort to despatch the goods within 3 business days from the date of purchase. We partner with reputable national courier companies and Royal Mail for the efficient delivery of our products to you. Our postage and packaging costs include basic insurance coverage, additional insurance can be arranged upon request at the time of purchase.
We are able to accommodate in-store collections arranged by your own courier at your expense. Alternatively, you may schedule a pick-up in person from our store in Pokesdown, Dorset by contacting us in advance of your purchase at hello@vintagehouse813.com.
If your goods are not collected within two weeks of purchase, we reserve the right to resell or charge a storage fee.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING
Shipping quotes to overseas locations, including Highlands, Islands and Northern Ireland, please contact hello@vintagehouse813.com before finalising your purchase. Overseas customers are responsible for any import/export duties, taxes and other fees that may be incurred.
RETURNS
If the goods delivered do not comply with the terms of the order or if you are not completely satisfied with your purchase and would like to initiate a return, please contact us promptly within 48 hours at hello@vintagehouse813.com to further discuss this matter.
Any issues concerning damage should also be notified to the courier at the time of receipt.
If a return is authorised, the merchandise must be returned within 7 calendar days in a saleable condition and packed in its original packaging. After we have received and inspected the return, a refund for the cost of the goods will be issued. Please note that the refund does not cover any delivery or return postage costs.
